Roof Pro fixes a roof on a Plainview house.
Roof Pro takes on a complete roof replacement on a house in Plainview, Nassau County, New York. The estimator already made a supply list and a roof condition outline for the installation crew a week or more ago. The crew sets up tarps on the ground and on the front bushes to prevent nails and debris from littering the area surrounding the house. Clean up is much easier this way and keeps the small pieces from showing up on the lawn. We also cover the driveway and back deck because this will be a complete tear down and re-roofing.
Cleanliness is always a goal of our crews, that’s why tarps are used all around the house.
The roof was in bad shape and needed to be torn completely off and some base wood needed to be replaced. The shingles were very worn, cracked, broken and many were missing too. Plywood is the best answer to the rotted wood issue. We used high quality plywood to replace the bad wood. We cut and shaped the plywood to fit in the areas that needed to be replaced. New tar paper was applied as well as a moisture barrier plastic to prevent any more wood rot in the future this was attached to the bare wood of the roof.
Our Plainview house had a straight forward roof tear down. There was worn out roof shingles that needed replacement and was done in one visit.
Roof Pro always consults with the home owners through a estimator from Roof Pro earlier in the week. The home owner selects the color and type of roofing shingles they would like us to install. We installed the selected shingles on the roof as per GAF recommended regulations and rules.
It’s important to make sure all gaps are closed and tightly water proofed with the proper caulking and sealants. This house had a large exhaust fan and chimney on the roof. That fan and chimney had to be flashed and sealed as per our standards.
Making sure all flashing is correctly done and sealed water tight is the Roof Pro way.
Our roofs are guaranteed by GAF roofing supplier and by our own Roof Pro contract and warranty. Also we finished the roof with a great quality shingle and at the the end cleaned up the sight. Then had a Forman come back the next day when it was daytime to look over the job and give it a Roof Pro approval stamp. If there was extra attention needed on the roof a return visit from a Roof Pro crew. They would have to be scheduled to address it and make the corrections.
