Roof Pro builds a new roof on a Orient house house.

Roof Pro is here building a new roof on a new house in Orient, Suffolk County, New York. The Roof Pro team has covered the ground with tarps to prevent nails, wood scrap and old roofing material from scattering around the ground and littering the yard. It is done to ease clean up and to keep small debris from getting under the new sod to be put down soon on the job site when the home construction is done. The bare wood roof needs to be covered quickly before the next rain so our crew shows up and starts working the next day.

Roof Pro sets up the new roof for weather and water protection before anything else..

There were a few very minor gaps in the wood spacing the Roof Pro crew took care of first. After the wood repairs we started to lay new water proofing material on the bare roof. This water proofing material is to keep a moisture barrier between the shingles and wood as an extra layer of protection from the elements.

A moisture barrier is very important to any roof, especially a new roof on a new house such as this one.

On our new Orient home, when you get to plumbing exhaust pipes or corners with two roof lines merging it has to be flashed properly. The tar paper and or plastic water proofing material has to be worked around the obstructions in the roof. All attempts to make sure water flows correctly and quickly runs off of the new roof is a roofers prime desire. No dips or low spots on the roof are left, they must be flattened so as not to crate puddling and or ice spots in the winter months.

Some of the lower siding close to the roof line had to be removed and then put back on so the water would flow over it nice and easily. It is really the only way to do it to keep water intrusion from happening in wet seasons such as the spring and winter months.
The finished roof looks great on this new house. All there is to do now is the landscape and driveway paving. Then move the new family in to their new home ready for the many seasons to come on Long Island.

The Finishing Touches of the Roof in Orient

Roof Pro will finish the job with great quality roofing material and warranties the labor and materials as per our contract with each customer. When the job is finished on the new Orient home, we go over the roof to make sure it’s done to our specs.
This house is a big home on a slight hill off from the road. The water will flow away from it cleanly and the roof has a water tight construction to it. The customer choose the darker shingles to off set the brown color of the siding, we think it looks great!

We just love the way the new home came out with it’s white front porch and columns holding up the roof line that protects the entrance way to the home. We finished the home the next day but sometimes the job won’t be finished until night time. So a foreman or the estimator would visit the site the next day. He will approve the workmanship or send a crew back with the description of the final touches involved to finish the installation.
Our roofs are guaranteed by GAF roofing supplier and by our own Roof Pro contract and warranty. That is what makes us different from everyone else. Roof work and repair is the only thing we do, we do not pretend to be something else. It’s in our name, Roof Pro!
